Café Bowes
Having recently been completely refurbished, the acclaimed Café Bowes is a superb place to spoil yourself, either whilst visiting the museum or simply as a stand alone dining destination.
Cafe Bowes serves high quality fare, featuring, wherever possible, locally sourced ingredients. We are renowned for our homemade cakes and scones, and friendly efficient service. In addition to our lunchtime menu, breakfast, Afternoon Tea and Winter Warmers are available. The winter menu can be viewed here and the children's menu here.
Please keep an eye on the website or in the local press for special occasion lunches and dinners. The next one coming up is our very special Valentines Evening menu which can be viwed here.
Open everyday from 10.00 to 4.30. Closed only 25, 26 December and 1 January.
Entrance to Cafe Bowes is free of charge - you do not need to be a paying visitor to the Museum.
